Default Apologies if this has been asked before.

I have searched the site for the past hour or more to find an exact match for my problem. I have found some similar results but none so drastic as mine.

I have a BX series Fender Bass Amp 200watt. It's about 7 or 8 eight years old/new.

Recently after transporting the amp in my car i found that it no longer works.

There is no sound apart from a series of almighty bangs. This series of bangs/pops is rhythmically similar each time and varies in regularity slightly.

The volume knob does not respond to the output level (and it is LOUD!). The chorus knob does affect the pops (bonus!!!).

I tried replacing the plug incase it was a fuse problem. That is the height of my expertise in this area.

If you can shed any light on this problem or even point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.

Thanking you in advance.
