I'm in the process of making my first DIY amp - it's a dual mono P3A variant, so in theory should be capable of 200W per channel easily.
Check out Rod's Site for some more on the amp (it's highly regarded by everyone I've spoken to about it on this forum).

P3a is really easy to build and sounds fine. I am building 4 modified P3a's for my watercooled 6 channel amp. The other channels are Leach amps. I have built them and they sound great. Leach amp might be the way to go because there are PCB layouts available if you want to make your own boards without designing a layout. Etched and drilled boards for P3a or the Leach amp are available too though.
Good luck!
