Hi,
I be repairing some Dynamic Precision throuh the years, and realised that most drivers on the driver board get shorted out.
I Reverse engineered the board and from now I wish to replace the bc550c and bc560c which working as a driver for the output mosfets.
Any suggestion on a durable driver in a bigger casing but stil ha high enough HFE and low COB. ?
I wonder if these could do it?
2sa1208
2sa1209
2sa1837
2sa1930
2sa1220
i attach a little piece of the driver part.

2SA1208 would not be suitable as its current maximum is 70ma
2SA1209 is a better choice 140ma but get the 2SA1209T for higher gain.

The 2SA1837 requires a much higher bias current to obtain near the same HFE so leave that one out the same with the 2SA1220 as well as the 2SA1930.

If the circuit is designed for those two BJT,s then the 2SA1209T is the better choice .

You haven't asked about the other BJT the BC550 which is an NPN BJT only the PNP BC560 ?
