Default Recommend high quality capacitor for main filter

Seems like capacitor manufacturers phase out and phase in product lines. Among capacitors now on the market, are there any recommended high quality main filter capacitors? Long life. 105C. High ripple and low ESR. I know a lot of this stuff can be found on data sheets, but am wondering what particular caps folks have had good results with that meet these criteria.

Do you mean mains filter? Class X, Main smoothing for HT or LT?
What sort of current are you drawing?

There's little to be gained from limiting yourself to one manufacturer - search by property and find the best value for your requirements.

Many brands have now dedicated series for this jobs, have a look at nichicon, panasonic, elna and see what fits the budget, all are good caps.

I think the OP is referring to 'Reservoir Capacitors' (main filter capacitor!) seeing as low E.S.R. and ripple ratings are mentioned in post #1.
