I have noticed quite a lot of through hole components slowly disappearing.
Stuff that was prolific a few years ago has now gone.

The same dies may still be available in the MT100 case. Smaller ones in the same family certainly will be.

TO-92, 126, 218..... poof. TO-264 is probably next. We'll just have to live with the cheaper TO-3P versions.

This will skyrocket the sale of Ebay fakes as well as the few genuine parts. Watch the cheap prices rise

I was sad when Toshiba finished the 5171/1930, but they started the TTC/TTA004 instead. So, the future is dark, but not hopeless...

Oh, its so bad,
2SC2922 is a legend. I am very happy with Sanken LAPT sounding, especially are 2SC2922/2SA1216.

I have a small stock of To3p, To247 and To264 devices. Maybe keep them a while longer to sell on as an extra to my pension fund.
