Hi!

This was a while ago, not sure I'll be of much assistance.

Was this problem present before you changed the caps and redid the solder joints ?

I know I had some issued because of the glue that held the caps. It got on surrounding components and became corrosive and conductive.

My unit was behaving strange - sometimes it was working properly, sometimes it was staying in protection...
This is the reason I started reading and came upon your thread.
