Newbie Question,

I recently finished an amp based on the LM3886 chip.
They are rated at about 70W/chip, but I need more effect.

I'm thinking about using both channels to drive one speaker,
by simply connect both speaker terminal pairs to one speaker,
and feed both channels with the same signal.
This way it will become some kind of a monoblock.

Is this possible? Or will I damage something by altering the impedans?

Usually this doesn't work.Why don't you go for a bridged amplifier?

This will increase the current handling of your amp, but will generally not increase the output power because the voltage swing will not increase. Trying to do this can be problematic for other reasons.
