I just came across this post via Google. I am surprised that noone has responded yet.

What improvements do you mean?
Have they pusblished any schematics, or why did you conclude that this is a known design from 1993?

The reason why I looked for this is because they describe class D as a "planet saving" technology. I was a bit baffled that they were unable to identify the real benefits of class D, and at the same time claiming to be amplifier specialists.

Today I bought the German magazine Klang+Ton(issue #5 2014) and in it I observed a company named ELTIM selling e.g. amp kits. But why are these based on an amp curcuit published back in 1993? Are the improvments listed real ones? Please have a look !

If you wish I can provide you a kind of review regarding the amp modules from Eltim.A friend of mine has test one but it's in dutch

Normally, one just replaces the existing amp, and the effect might be as much a test of the pre amps buffer, the match with the speaker etc as a quality test of the amp.

I have performed testing of different amplifiers using FIR-filters to null out the EQ and phase changes, and that is a really revealing test that shows dynamic differences, and frankly, those are the ones that counts. All the others can be tweaked and tuned to perfection.
