You might want to look at the AD8610/AD8620.
Some like LM6172 or AD826, they are dual package though.
There is a new AD piece called AD8065, I have not heard anything at all about it.
I like both OPA627 and AD8610/20.
There is nothing better than trying a few different types and making your own decision.
Good luck

OPA627 isn't the only opamp around that fits. In what way are you going to use the opamp, filter, I/V converter, buffer?
AD8610 is good (better) but slightly noisier and can take max +- 13 volts, only in SMD SO08. Check for amps with noise less than 6 nV/sqr Hz and sr > 10 V/us

you guys are missing out on audio nirvana: the LM709
very rare now, nobody wants to part with theirs
Seriously, I've been seeing some folks very interested in the LT1363 (I think that's the right number). I haven't tried it myself yet, but I have a buddy that REALLY like it IN SOME APPLICATIONS. NOTE: it is not a JFET input device; sometimes that matters.

Very good idea, indeed. But be careful - this part needs sophisticated frequency compensation

outputstage for a DAC.
Try the AD825 which is a single OpAmp. I like it a lot. You would need a SO- to 8 DIP adapter.
See here: http://www.brndog.com/priclist.html to get such adpters.
I also recommend the 604, which is cheap, and not too bad.
