It monitors the DC voltage on the output( you have to connect LR, LL or only one of it to the power amp output). In case there is DC voltage higher then 10 V it will switch the PS regulator off.
I had ones bad solder in my power amp and full DC voltage on the output, PS switched off and nothing happened to the loudspeaker. It is important not to have to big caps in thousands uF after PS regulator

Im coming from PA business. and safety is important thing

we build and sell Mosfet amplifier similar like CFA about 10 years ago

I recommended Triac crowbar between Speaker out and Ground to save
100 % Speaker look my another Posting

Normally amp can protect with a few components + LM 311 + NE55 Timer

ps regulator to much compments, 2 Mosfets have heat dissipation

PS Regulator will work, but its not 100 % safe if device fail

2000 W Class D amplifier can be safe protct with a few cheap components + LM 311 + NE55 Timer

Thank you OS, you are very kind.

I mean it . You , Apex , Vzaudio , a few others are the only ones with
quality designs.
Also , not held back by "audio voodoo" Real progress , not snake oil.
Most of the forum is chasing subjective BS. Vendors fill $$$ their pockets
selling snake oil.

We do not get appreciated for quality.
Members would chase dubious low quality marketed designs. Or if you
make up a fancy name "Honey Badger", Slewmaster , this will get it built.
You should name your amp. call it the "Infidel" or something.

It seems the engineering is overlooked , in favor of the "cover" (name) or
what famous fool designed it.

120W CFA board with lateral mosfet OPS is not made to accommodate this small balance in board. It could be done only by changing the mainboard layout. It is not to late but you can't use it.

As I understand this board "transform" balanced to SE signal ?
If so, there is no need, for me, to fit it to CFA lateral board, as long as it do the job...I can place this board right in front of input....

I'm a little lazy to made my own PCB so I'm using what ever comes into my hands ;)

It's no so simple. This board adds cold (-) input and change the CFA to VFA with so called H configuration. Hot input(+) is still on the main board. So it is not balanced to unbalanced converter. One way to do that is to use ready board (there are offers on internet) or balanced to unbalanced transformer.

My DaDod power amps have been built for awhile now... only packaging and reliability tests were added to delay. But they are in Bangkok, Thailand and weight 150 pounds each (I had 2 stereo amps built). The shipping charges will be horrendous. I expect to have them in play in california this year for the JBL M2 speakers... bi-amped. :)

Really, should I be offended or feel praised.

I see you're using my BIGBT in your Signature Century power amplifier, no credit for that, should I be offended or feel praised?
Cheers, L.C.

Not true, I did start my amp life by building a copy of that, but it never satisfied me.
The amplifier I am selling is a MosFet-driven BJT triplet current conveyor.
It has at this moment many praised publications and a award.
The design is 100% done here.

The point was not to brag, the point was that there a (most likely) many more people here that should be acknowledged, it is short sighted to juist point at a few and then state what was stated.

The reason that I do not contribute to much here is exactly that, I do like being a tech-nerd I do not like to defend myself continuously.

And yes, I do (as ever) acknowledge the work you have done and are doing.

And yes, it was not very smart to do that post, as it is inviting the need to defend myself :(

P.s. Feel praised, while your designs lured me back into audio-electronics-design (after 40 years of other engagement).
