Hello All,

I have a Forte Model 6 with a bad left channel. One of the IGBTs has died along with a couple passive components. It appears that the Toshiba IGBTs (GT20D201/GT20D101) are no longer in production and frankly don't seem to be a very good choice for output devices according to many threads on the subject. I think replacing them with MOSFETs might be a viable solution and would like input from the forum on this along with some guidance. I also plan on dropping the rail voltage with the alternate taps on the xfmr to reconfigure this to the Model 4, 50wpc spec.
Sadly, schematics for the Forte Model 4, 5, & 6 amplifiers were never produced so I am flying blind on this...

Cheers,
Hugh
