Op-Amp Matching?

If you have an audio amplifier that uses a Dual op-amp(8-pin) and the ground channel has a single op-amp(8-pin):

Does or should the ground channel op-amp always be the same type(single version of the Dual op-amp used)? or can you use different op-amps for the ground channel ?

Thanks for any help.

The dual op-amp is for the L&R output channels(stereo). The ground channel op-amp for this circuit would be a single op-amp and usually be the single-version equivalent of the dual op-amp being used.

Example: you would use an OPA2604 for the L&R channels and an OPA604 for the ground channel.

So; I'm just wondering what the actual role of this "ground channel" op-amp actually is?, which is the same question you asked.
