diyAB Amp The "Honey Badger" build thread

Have just tested this amp with a 2pf mica cap installed as an LC cap. This made sound worse than when using no LC cap which it is now reverted too. I found there to be too much high frequency noise with the LC installed. Without it there is more bass and a better rounded sound.

Just Saying, I think that the "Ostripper" post was not him, maybe the account was hacked...Just Saying
Maybe? His mongrel website which is apparantly current and updated hasn't been available for a while now. Would be nice if someone new him personally and could find out. Maybe he had health issues etc etc. All I know is Ostripper always use to be very prompt at replying to technical questions and always fast to help out anyone in need. Hope your doing well wherever you are OS.

Simon

Maybe. Though that toothy smile emoticon sure carries some sarcasm though. I can't imagine someone hacked his account then knew enough about the amp and his contributions to fake a sarcastic emoticon that well.

I suspect it was him but that there is more going on. Whatever, I hope all is well too.

My HB progress so far..

EZ enough on perf,
We do have PSU boards in the store too. Might be out of stock ATM

Seems like on AB amps you don't see the Pi filter arrangement, with the resistors much
Probably because the amp has decent power supply ripple rejection. The resistors lower the voltage a little
and maybe the varying power draw of the AB amps is an issue..

Anyone know?
