Hi guys,
I tried reading about this but i got myself mixed up.
Am rebuilding an old amp too far into the project i cant back down.
The transformer is a 200va 35Vac,that comes to +/-50dc.Two pairs of A1943&C5200 output devices.I intend to use it on 4ohm load. What would be the power dissipation per device?
Just for more information,i'll need about 100W off the amp.Any changes i should make in this project?Any suggestion will be most welcomed.
Regards,Xeclipse.

2pair of 1943/5200 from a +-50Vdc supply is certainly OK for 8ohm use.
Probably OK for 6ohm as well.
Severe reactance 4ohm speaker played loud (party levels) could make the output stage so hot that the transistors are overstressed.
I don't know how long they would last.
Have you read ESP and Janneman yet?
