It is mounted on those two angles and shoved into a
aluminium tubing.

Cheers!!

Hallo moe29!

Against your project that took even years i am aschamed of
the simpleness of mine. I talk about your cool ZENs.
You are the real diy´er. Mine where nearly finished as i got
them. Just some holes and some parts to change and listen in
the next weeks.

I doubt i can tell you to much about the technic behind them.
They are based on Avantgardes amplifiers. I think just posting
this picture will get me into trouble :(
But i am so proud of their sound...

Cheers!

The most annoying thing in here is to talk about what technic it uses.
To me it looks like some threads in here lame the whole community to
discuss further.
All amps seem to sound the same, leave alone the cables!
After all, all our CDs are only Zeros and Ones - Very easy.
Speakers which are only moving cylinders can´t be that different!

Why to try further :(

Very nice work, Wombat. I like the way all the power supply components are mounted on the PCB - moving them closer to the point of action must be a bonus for stability.

How powerful is the amplifier? The output devices look quite small given the size of the power transformer - is that a 500VA part? How warm does the amp get during use?

I particularly like the ground plane on the top layer of the PCB. Is it your own design?

Nice one,
Tim.

Time to cut the Parsley!! :devily: ;)

Very neat looking amps you have there.
What are they after all?

/Hugo :)

After all these are prototype boards from Matthias Ruff.
I had the luck to get my hands on these.

They are pretty damn accurate sounding Mosfets with a very fast
scheme. These are the first solid state pieces that sound tube
alike in a way to me on my system with controlled bass.
Unbelievable! Isn´t it!?

I am just starting to enjoy them more and more...

This may look like thread pushing or promotion but it isn´t!
I heard these Monoblocks now for many weeks and nothing can compete i owned!
Just wanted to celebrate the experience in listening.
My health tells me otherwise and the next weeks will tell more.
Glad to had all the sound around me till now!

Hey people! You are taking hundreds of lines and threads wasting time in all kinds of GC and such things.
There are already better designs in simple SS like mine ;) This design is of Matthias Ruff and pretty simple like
you are very easy to spot by looking. He knows the people inventing the original GC one and still likes brainly built amplifiers!

Waste your times to invert, find places for all kinds of capacitors and so on. The real thing is always better!

I had the cool chance to try them all ;)

Wombat, hello, good morning!

I imagine you have a lot of things to say to us.
I can perceive, something is wrong over there in another forum.
Maybe you want to discuss this subject, and this is important.
Don't you think may be better for you and all of us, let us now what is the real problem?
Something related to Nelson, and also related to Gainclones in chip amps.
If you open a thread related that subject, i will go there to read.

For a while, people asking schematics.

I also will like to see schematics.

Your amplifier is pretty, do not know if someone made bad joke with you, and you can open your mouth loud and clear....but, if you do here, my experience, the moderators will finish this thread, sending it to another place... alike of topic or something else.

So, let the schematic for us, and call us to here what you want to say.

I guarantee, i will be the first to hear you.

regards, auwierderlehsen

These posts above were really due to something very strange going on in my life these weeks.

I sadly can´t speak more about shematics.

I shouldn´t even started this thread a while back but i thought the design itself may
be interesting to some cause it is simple with this tube and the two brackets.

I am very sorry about that, really! I even think about letting remove my account to not be able
coming here no more to prevent such behaviour :(

People that don´t have themself under control posting stupid things like me may disturb the
climate in this forum. So when only one member asks the moderators for deleting my account,
let it happen. Otherwise i will be happy staying here and try to brace myself.

Best regards

Martin
