Randy passed away earlier this month. I'm sure he will be missed.

Oh my goodness, didn't know he was from Geneva OH -- right on the Lake -- we had corresponded 10 years ago and I carried Lateral MOSFET's as a result of his enthusiasm.

Is this the same Randy Slone who wrote " The Audiophile's project Source Book " ? He's passed away pretty young . The newspaper article says he was disabled. I never knew that.
May his soul RIP.

Yes a big loss for audio diy (and his family of course).
I often disagreed with him, but he had a vision and followed that. Sad.

Allow me to offer my favorite quote, as it always makes me feel better:
A human being is part of a whole, called by us the 'Universe,' a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest--a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
-Albert Einstein
We are all made of stars.
Best wishes to his family.
