100W Ultimate Fidelity Amplifier

Hy again.

here is the schematic..:
AA14 schematic
I guess nobody build this AA14. so my question regarding caps.
because of avoiding some bad influence because of wrong caps - maybe too big capacitance i kindly aks:

C6, C9 could be bigger if they fit in, Audi caps ...right?
C3, C7, C12, C13, are 22µF/25V minimum because of the rail...bigger ok?

Which would you choose?

thanks
chris

Hi

here are prasi´s excellent documents:

Question.
just 2,2µF for C13, C12 ? is for the rail voltage.
Why ?
it is 3,5 pitch and 8mm diameter...so a 100µF/35V can fit

anybody has tested this amp?

kr
chris
Hello Chris,
Those are decoupleing caps, you can have any value, say 47uF 50V might also fit there.
I dont visit too often here, so sorry for the late reply.

You will need a 35-40 Vac (dual or center tap) transformer. Will get you about 50-55 Vdc and provide close to 100 watts at 8- ohm. If you are asking about 4-ohm load, then step down to a 30-35 Vac toroidal. You are currently getting about 45% efficiency from your PSU, may need to increase capacitance or most likely go to a 7-10A transformer for that current load.
