Yes, if the sender is not a company it should usually work.
Otherwise it is a more random process. Guess what, last
time I ordered books from Amazon US the Swedish customs
even charged a fee of over $5 for inspecting the package!
Of course, some companies are willing to declare the value
as zero and call it a sample or something, which might work.

I had a collegue who regularly bought books through a friend
in the US. This friend used to pack some dirty laundry with
the books so the customs wouldn't bother.

Yes, they've been quite tough to come by since the demise of Siliconix. And the original Siliconix versions had a very high defect rate, like nearly 50% in the last batch I bought.

The 2N4416 and 2N5462 are biased much below their Idss (Vgs = 0). The 2N4416 source is biased positive with respect to the gate. Similar rational but negative voltages for 2N5462. The feedback is probably at the correct point for the 2N4416A Vgs under bais for being equal to the BC550's base to emitter drop and output bias current times 220 ohms.

Are the 2N4416 and 2N5462 any good here ... ???
How about PN4416 (which is cheap) vs. 2N4416 ... ???
