Yes it is possible. I f I had to do it quick withouth much design time I would start from here:
http://sound.westhost.com/project09.htm
I would only use the lowpass part of the filter and calculate the crossover frequency.
Opamps I use are TL072 and Ne5532. Other ones that I didn't try yet but get good reviews are AD826, AD712 and opa2134.
 From my engineers point of view I am not really convinced of the sonic diffrences between opamps, but I'll sure try to swap them in some project to see what happens sonicly.  I'll post the results here after I graduated, one month to go...
The main page of the site mentionned above is:
http://sound.westhost.com/index2.html
It's a really good site, I'm sure you can find some ideas over there.

First: Thanx a lot, svokke!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If these devices are able to work with high power in their inputs, the problem is over.

:att'n: Here, booster is an simple amplifier that works with a hi-level input (speaker outs) and consists of two transformers to match the Z's and two big transistors in push-pull mode. Due to the POOR quality of the transformers, the sound is BAD! :dead:
