110v power amp with 220v transformer, effects sound?

Hi, i got 5x220w 5.1 parasound hca-2205 with 110v and the mains here are 220v!

i also got 110/220 transformer+current conditioner
how would that effect sound?

As long as the transformer is able to supply the required power it shouldn't affect the sound at all

As ventle said, as long as the transformer supplies enough current, then it should work fine. In fact, it will provide a level of hum reduction from the ac line as you are now feeding the amp a balanced ac power signal.

You can internally convert the HCA-2205 to work on 230v

I'm trying to find the schematics/service directions right now, but the amp is internally able to be wired to accept 230v input. I've contacted Parasound, as I've just moved from US (115v) to the UK (230v) Tony just got the UK distributor to email me a local service shop (that isn't all to local). So my search continues...

I've opened the amp up and the board has a few references to 230v, but no straight forward directions, all my other equipment were clearly marked internally for the rewire.
