To my Sony amp, so i can play my ipod through the AUX on the amp and use the equalizer (also connected to amp) to enhance the sound quality??
Can this be done, and if Yes, how do I connect the equalizer to where on the amp??
Thankyou for any help and please excuse my ignorence.

Hi,
You connect the EQ through your tape monitor jacks on the amp. Rec out on the amp goes to input on the EQ and input on the amp comes from the output on the EQ. You then set the tape monitor button on the amp to on. If you have a tape deck or CD player, those now get hooked up to the tape monitor on the EQ. Your ipod can go into the aux if you wish but just remember that you have to leave the tape monitor on in order for the EQ to work. If you switch that off, you will bypass it.

Jon,
There is no recommendation I can make on an EQ. Some think it's just superfluous in the signal path, while others have given a mediocre system the tune up it needed.
If that one is still 20 bucks and it works then you'll have more than 20 bucks worth of fun just playing with it. You can decide later.
