I have just convert 1 ch of my Mac 1900 receiver output stage from NPN semi complimentary to fully complimentary output with MJ21195/96.
For both ch I have removed the input caps, and the protection circuit esp the output triac that cause instability for the amp.
Power supply has been tued with various lytics ad PIO caps, ad raise the bias to about 150ma. All tuig doe by ear.
Frankly I ca't hear any diff between the fully vs the semi complimentary ch. I can hear easily the sound signiture of diff cables, resistors, caps, but o suc difference between the full vs semi complimentary configuration....
Next I will reduce all the frequecy rolled off caps between the b-c, and c-e juction.
Has any oe compare the sound between the full vs semi complimentary?
