Hi There.
I have tried about four different speaker cabinet design programs.
My question is:
I have tried a number of different speakers in these programs.
Each program, for the SAME Thiele-Small parameters,
1) delivers different box sizes and tunings!
2) Frequency responses are also different!
3) and from there it goes downhill re port sizes, stuffing ....etc.
Somebody PLEASE help.
Regards.

A BR enclosure can be designed and tuned to many different alignments. A sealed box has considerably fewer degrees of freedom.

A piece of software should let you choose what compromises you want to make.

Agree with Dave. Software can calculate ideal situations and there are many things to consider in calculating tuning which may or may not be considered in software calculations; these all base themselves on ideal circumstances, which is never the case. It gets you into the ballpark. In the end, if you are pretty close with your tuning, the fine tuning of your electronics will complement your enclosure tuning.
