USB Camera Software
Default USB Camera Software

I've been trying, without success, to find some software to view a USB camera's output on my laptop; the camera is a macro one. Any suggestion, preferably shareware/free?

Thanks.

With my camera I just use Windows explorer to read the files from the camera.

Perhaps if we know the camera (model) and your operating system then someone might have some clues.

Tbh I would have thought a USB camera would be picked up by Windows and the appropriate drivers installed automatically. If not then knowing the above details might help.

Do you mean video output to computer monitor, or access to picture files on the camera’s card?

Try oasis.exe from Oasis Scientific. It is a generic USB webcam/digital camera software for Windows XP/7/8/10. Works fine with my generic usb cam...Dave
