Eagle question - separating wires and polygons of same net

I'd like to have a ground plane cover one side of a board as a shield, but still run actual ground connections traces for a star ground. I've tried lowering the rank of the ground polygon, but the wires still get incorporated into the polygon.

Is it possible to have traces running through a polygon of the same net while still remaining separate? I hope this question makes sense;);).

The shield plane should not be directly connected to ground. Define the plane as something else,
like a power plane. Then use a component jumper (not a via) to connect it to the audio ground.
Make sure there are no "islands" of shield plane left floating because of the traces cutting it up.
