I recommend XRECODE. This software lets you convert any format into any other format.
Regards.

Paul

Just used it to convert 100's of .APE's to flacs (Xrecode).
Convert flac to mp3, flac to wav, ape to mp3, cue to mp3, flac to alac, flac to m4a, flv to mp3 and more.

To split full-album FLAC's ... (cuesplitter)
http://www.medieval.it/cuesplitter-pc/menu-id-71.html

To add/remove album art or change FLAC tagging ... (mp3tag)
Mp3tag - the universal Tag Editor (ID3v2, MP4, OGG, FLAC, ...)

To test the finished conversions - "audiotester"
vuplayer.com

1400 full albums done with these softwares (so far).
Tested 192 to wav plus various other functions - flawless !

Yes,I recommend the Foorbar 2000 or to accomplish this!
As for me,the flac is not the one I'd like to store. The universal format for audio nowadays may be the "APE".Music tracks are all gotten into the whole "APE integration"

.APE is private closed source codec. Flac is open source.
Compression seems to be comparable on both.

Just got rid of 100's of .APE's had to install a "monkey" player to hear
them natively. Winamp/foobar/WMP do the flac's (more universal).
Most of "what's out there" is in standard FLAC , as well.
