Thats good. Make sure you download the tutorial as well and work through it slowly. It's a lot easier to use than it looks.
Try something really simple to begin, and try altering things like pad sizes etc. You can draw "direct to board" you don't need enter the circuit.
What I did was select a lot of common parts RES400 CAP250RP etc etc and print them all out on one sheet so you can see what size parts your actually dealing with. It's no good having resistors half a mile long on the board when you just want a quarter watt.
You only need a half decent inkjet and some transparancies + UV box and that's it to do a first class board.
You will have to practice and you will have failures at first.
