just as it should be...

... isn't that in the forum disclaimer or a FAQ somewhere?

These commercial threads are for private transactions. diyAudio.com provides these forums for the convenience of our members, but makes no warranty nor assumes any responsibility. We do not vet any members, use of this facility is at your own risk. Customers can post any issues in those threads as long as it is done in a civil manner. All diyAudio rules about conduct apply and will be enforced.

Obviously if the dispute is with The diyAudio Store directly it is still recommended to keep such items private for all involved to first try to work out a resolution. It's pretty amazing how reasonable folks (either buyer or seller) can be when a reasonable resolution can be accommodated by both parties.

In the case of a diyAudio Store transaction, an open post could be done in a resolution thread specifically for that purpose, or to check on the status of one's order. That seems reasonable to me.
