Theatre speaker placement in odd shaped room

We are building a house extension, open plan of which will be a theater in an area of non-optimal shape.

I'm looking for thoughts around speaker placement for the surrounds (plans and elevations attached)

Constraints
- TV will be wall mounted as per floor plan
- LCR Speakers are in-wall...likely Polk 255c-rt for center and 265RT for LR.
- Theater area is 5m wide x 4m deep (to back of couch).
- Roof is pitched internally i.e. cathedral (see elevations)

Surround placement
2 options come to mind for placement

  • placed on walls either side of the couch (with left above window). Marked red on plans
  • placed on the pitch (Marked Green on Plans)

What are the pros and cons of each placement?

Are there other options I should consider?
Potentially i could do both positions for 7.1 if there's improvement. In this case would it be worth the effort?

Surround speaker options

Could be Polk 70rt if on pitch but i'd need to check depth.
In-wall would be depth constrained so maybe the 255c-rt or 265rt depending on horizontal or vertical mount.

Any thoughts here appreciated. Thanks in advance
