No big issue - have that impemented in my previous preamp. Just a small doughterboard with PS for the controller and RemoteIn/Out optos. The controller in standby (some 10 microA only, LCD dimmed) lurking for waking signal via IR or RemoteIn, the rest switched off. After wake up the preamp caters RemoteOut signal for HTPC and poweramp. Everytning optocoupled, safe and flexible - no relays. A killing impementation indeed - you just see the whole rig going up and sleep again with just single touch of remote - oooh...;-)

1. Controller must be modified: SW (subroutines for RemoteIn interrupt and standby) and HW (one I/O reserved for RemoteIn and ideally broke-out on connector. It could be just tapped later as well but if the board has not been produced yet...)
2. Control circuit: could be designed universally for optos or relays (optocouplers are somehow clean but relays could be more universal if the rest of the rig is not known yet).
3. Doughterboard design: dtto.

Nice is, that the controller could be modified as standard at no cost and the whole functionality with the doughterboard could be an option: take it or leave it...

Do you have any input for the opamp other than OPA627 ? OPA627 is very expensive and there are many fakes out there.
