Hello drivers seekers!

Cheers!

I'm not sure that I want this, I have questions.

What do I need to build a shigaclone?

Does this kit come with the Sanyo mechanism?

If not are the eBay SFP101N 16 pin assemblies all you need?

I assume that this does not include a case. Is there anything else it does not include?

What is the price?

It seems weird to run a group buy without providing those details.

Thanks.

Well... those details can be found in the Google spreadsheet posted by tvicol, the author of the Shiga.

You will need to order from the GB:

- Shiga Kit (normal / high grade version)
- Puck
- Trafo
- CD Mechanic
and if you wish IR, the remote.

Additionally you will need:

- A case
- Connectors
- A seperate SPDIF DAC

Fabian

Sorry my bad, this is third GB I run and I thought people are somehow familiar with Shigaclone.
On the forum are two huge thread's who address Shigaclone construction:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digi...affordable-cd-transport-shigaclone-story.html
and
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/digital-source/255887-shigaclone-mkii-black-builders-thread.html

More information is available at http://vicol-audio.ro/shiga-mkII.php

Shigaclone now at version MKII is a fantastic CD transport, but is a DIY product and I suggest you to read and digest these threads before taking a decision.

To build a Shigaclone you need:
- Shiga IR remote- 22 euro
- Al non magnetic CD puck - 24 euro
- Ultra low noise shielded trafo - 29 euro
- Shigaclone ready mounted and tested - 138 euro
- CD mechanic SFP101N-16P - 12 euro

There are also high grade versions who include audiophile parts and modifications presented in second above thread.

If you have any further questions please address them here.

Regards,
Tibi
