Doesn't make much of a difference because the fuse in-between makes very little R but typically put 6800uF in C3 and 10000uF in C4. Good ripple current spec is more important than 3200uF less Ctotal value in this case.
I hope own sink provides enough heat exchange for your application because you had mentioned some high peak current load. But it depends on how often it peaks of course. Anyway, you will get the real feel of your configuration's dissipation dynamics by testing it soon. Use thick no lengthier than needed output cable.
