Yamaha RX-2400 Shuts Off Imediately

Hi,

Have a Yamaha RX-V2400 it was working fine had both a& b speakers on then died. No display the rest function does not seem to work. Press power button the relay clicks nothing happens. Any idea's on what the problem could be? New power supply or capacitors required?

If you had both front speaker pairs on so you probably undershot the minimum impedance allowed for the amplifier-stage. If the outputs are burnt the protection circuit won't switch the speaker-terminals "sharp" - that's what you actually see. My guess: No problem with the power supply but burnt outputs and usually many other defective parts in the amplifiersection of this device. Better to read the manual first the next time.....:rolleyes:
