A newbie question here.
I am looking to build an amp (not mono blocks) using two hypex nc400 units.
I've considered using a torroid style power supply instead of the usual smps600 switching power supply.
I own this torroid- 2400VA LowNoise NBT Power Transformer
It seems a good transformer for a balanced power supply,
but could this transformer be used to build a stereo amp as well?

If you feel capable you could remove a few turns from each secondary winding. 12 to 20 turns will take off ~8Vac.
50-0-50Vac will give ~ +-70Vdc
After adding on mains variation of +6%, you get just under 75Vdc
But that is not worst case highest voltage.
removing 15% of the secondary turns roughly reduces the VA capability by 15% to >2kVA, still plenty.
You can add on 4 thin wire (0.6mm diam enameled copper = ~870mAac) secondaries to power ancilliares, etc.
