Yes i live in an industrial aerea and as you very well say i should a scope.
Actually i love scopes and lab instruments in general.
Problem the good ones are very expensive.
But even without a scope there are actions that usually helps in suppressing noise reaching the circuit.
The simple replacement of the transformer with one of a different type can help.
I have some units now that i am quite sure they will benefit from some mods.
The absolutely main problem is space inside the chassis. The componets are packed very closely together. There is no room for different shape/size components.
So i will have to buy new chassis and for some units i will do that.
It can sound trivial but keeping noise and distortion low is in the end the "secret" for really good sound.
