Well my boards have arrived, just in time as I am redoing my workshop (shed) so I am on hold with everything right now. I will try to bust out some soldering on these when I have a chance.

just a quick post is to praise Dmitry (dsodolov) for putting the Quasimodo kits together so cleanly and lebeled. This is much appreciated and greatly supports building up the kit and avoid mistakes!

dsolodov kits are to find in posts 1360/1320/1169/1105/777/697/662 and can say its a nice quality kit where each component is labeled into small plastic bags ...

About search for a members posts per thread one can use "Search this thread" and write in some non natural for example 10 time number 5 and hit "Go" which bringes up a new advanced search dialog where one can delete the 10 times number 5 and and use the other field called "Search By User Name".

Valve output transformers are not mentioned in the Quasimodo design note. That's because I don't know anything about them. However you could check post #323 in this thread to see what other members have thought about doing.

Why would you snub a tube output transformer?
The purpose of the snubber is to control the ringing of a power supply transformer feeding a diode bridge, not an impedance converting audio transformer.

I don't know how the tube output transformer rings, but if you can take an oscilloscope and you will see how it rings.
