Sorry for the simple question, but I've done quite a bit of searching around & haven't found what I'm looking for....

If I have a power transformer that is labelled with a 230v primary & 46v-0-46v center tap secondaries, can I assume that it is useable with US 120v mains? The output will instead be more like 23v-0-23v, right? Does the current capacity of the primary go up & the secondaries go down in this scenario? If there's a link that you can point me to, that's good to. Thanks!
