Realistic Electrostat 4a mid-range

Thanks for your response planet10!

I am trying to learn how speakers are designed and there is much I don't know.

Yes, I thought the driver that has the concentric circles on its cone (ribbed) must have problems but it passed the buzz test and produces sound. I re-tested a couple times to make sure that the values above were correct. Below, I have done nearfield frequency responses for both drivers.

Also, is the roll-off that starts about 2k - 3k on these drivers the reason that there is no inductor on the mid-range?
If so, then these mid-range drivers were custom designed for this speaker?
And if true, it may be impossible to find direct replacements.

It appears that the Wavecor WF168WA06 6-1/2" 8 ohm driver has the same dimensions and the bolt mount diameter is within a few mm but would need something to roll off the high frequencies. Since there is a volume pot for the mid-range on the speaker the replacement should ideally have greater or equal sensitivity to be a drop-in replacement.
