My DIY Music Streamer. Raspberry Pi + PecanPi (Orchard Audio) + piCorePlayer

As my English is not the best, I believe the photos and video will say for me. :)

Below is a video with the entire construction...

Hi,

Thanks everyone for the good words!

Wirewiggler,

I have absolutely no doubt that this is probably one of the best DACs available for sale regardless of value.

The change in my system was absurd in every way, despite the fact that it simplifies everything with the elimination of a PC + DAC + PREAMP and all related cables.

Today my system only has this Streamer + Powers and I have never been so satisfied.

The level of detail and immersion in the musical event is surreal.

Look for other reviews and you'll see that I'm not the only one and be very impressed with the performance.

hkknudsen and JeanPoul,

It would be very simple to apply this type of protection, but considering I didn't have any problems....

Still, could it have any benefit?

Thank you all!!!!

Yes it would. Certainly when analog stuff is used nearby. RPi is a computer board with all kinds of nasty HF/RF signals straying out. Shielding other equipment from these signals is good and shielding the DAC section from it is also good. Challenge will be that most would want to keep wireless functionality (which is also RF) so that would mean only shielding at the bottom and between RPi and DAC.
