Adjustable Directsound Buffer Size?

Howdie,
Is there a way to adjust system wide audio buffer size using DirectSound in Win10?

[System Audio]->EAPO (equalizer APO) ->USB asynch DAC

ASIO drivers support larger buffers that can avoid audio dropouts, but I'm hoping there's a way to do this (3rd party utility, generic USB audio driver?) when using directsound. It probably has to be USB driver based since the dropouts occur when the DAC buffer underflows.

Search on the web and here draws a blank, even on the question.

Have you tried VB-Audio's Voicemeeter (BANANA) ? It integrates with EqualizerAPO (if you mean this software by acronym "EAPO").

Perhaps because most windows users (even audio pros) will have no idea what you are talking about as they do not care about details of how their hardware works... sad but true.

No kidding. Thanks for the great suggestion, I had no idea Voicemeeter supported adjustable buffers. I'll have to give it a shot.
