There's something with some SW media players I have been irritating over to no end and that's the rather extremely inconsistent frequency spacing between the EQ bands, does anyone know why that is?
Just have a look at the EQ in VLC in the attached picture:
60Hz 170Hz 310Hz 600Hz 1kHz 3kHz 6kHz 12kHz 14kHz 16kHz
The same disease can be observed in good ole' Winamp, 2nd picture:
Why not using equal spacing between the bands like one octave per band or 2/3?
