Default Moode Audio File Formats

Hello,
I am brand new to Moode Audio and very impressed so far with it. I have searched around but haven't found the different type of audio files supported. I have got it to play mp3 files with no problem, but wondering if it will also play flac files?

Thanks for the help,
Gary

The only 'file' type I've found that Moode can't play is .iso (complete CD, DVD or SACD image in a single file). Otherwise, there's no popular audio file type I've thrown at it that it can't play.

Hi Gary,

See below for the list of audio formats supported in the version of MPD that I compile for moOde. Scroll the code section sideways to see all of them :-)

How do I add .mod,.midi,.sap,.sid,.xm,.ym etc.?

It needs mikmod, gme, modplug, sidplay, fluidsynth to play those. Is there a way to add them?

You would need to compile MPD with the options and dev libs required to enable these audio formats. There may also be other libs and packages needed.

OK that's not a problem, is the source already in a directory somewhere after the builder has finished or do I need to get that myself?

Would any changes be required to the UI for the new file types?

You will prolly want to download the manual build recipe from moodeaudio.org and then have a look at STEP 6 - Compile and install MPD.
