Need help with music server issue

Hi All. two months ago I took the plunge and built my own computer ordering from Newegg. I work on my computer and really need my music. The CD/DVD drive was working great, then I plugged in a external hard drive, now the CD/DVD player is not recognized.

When I look at the issue I see this

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

I can build stuff but I'm a software idiot. Thanks in advance for your help. Dennis.

The CD/DVD player is sata and the external HD is USB.

This was stupid of me to post this now. I am leaving for the weekend in an hour so I may not be able to reply to anyone until Sunday. Just know that I am not abandoning this thread. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Dennis.
