I'm building the BoZ preamp and I have a couple question. I don't find tip29 transistor so can I replace it with BD139? Or what?

I have a transformer with 2*33v secondarys. I think that's not a problem?! Maybe little higher tempature in "tip29";)

Thanks already for your advices....

I want to try a Bride of zen for my power follower
Pavel Macura 83. Do you think it is good for this amp?
If I will finish the zen lite, I will use it also with this amp.

Now in the junk box I have only irf530 or P3NB90FP. I have problems to get iRF510/520/610/620 because in summer elctronics shops are closing for holidays.

Do you think it is possible to use P3NB90FP without compromises?
Or it is better to use IRF530(I think it will have more distortion in high freq then IRF610)?

Help me!

Hello McGyver....

I've built BOZ for myself, too.... and found the difficulties in TIP29...
But don't worry, TIP31C will do it's best for your regulations....
It's not as hot as you think...

I ran two regulators for each channel, from a single bridge that consisted four BA157. Just be careful with it's different pinout (well, seems like you should open the transistor data book for your assurance... :xeye:

The voltage will drop to around 58V (the lowest)....
Works fine.... :)

See you...!
