150$ is less than all components with the chassis price.
Give to chokes some physical distance from psu transformer.
Chokes on toroids not the best solution imho..easy to modify.

The original Zen amp needed a quiet power supply or there was buzz. I ended up with a regulated supply. CLC was another option but not quiet enough for my speakers at the time.

Yes it still works, but things have advanced quite a bit and with just a few more parts things get much better, thinking ACA

And that is the issue. If it was just someone's build, I'll pass on it (see what I did there?), but if it was Papa's build, I'd skip work and go get it.
