2SB206 too exotic for me.
Circlotron thread here is quite interesting, yes. I have LTSpiced a balanced input vacuum/Ge hybrid. I am just not sure if I want classic inductor loaded SE more or powerful circlotron instead. Still struggling to chose.

It is possible. This transistor seems to be the latest development of high-power germanium high-frequency in the world.
But it is limited in the collector-emitter voltage.
There is also GT905 (1T905), metal body, or plastic.
60 V, 3 A, 6 W, frequency up to 60 MHz.
Attachments - measuring table, and diagram of the measuring stand.

The radios from the late 50's usually had 4 or 5 tubes that ran directly from the 12 volt car battery and one big fat (TO-36) germanium transistor on the back driving an output transformer in a class A SE design. There were several different kinds. The number 2N174 comes to mind, but there was a silver colored Delco branded part that was the hardest to blow up.

The common transistor used in the germanium totem pole circuit was the 2N2147. It was in everything from Heathkit stereos to Acoustic guitar amps. The circuit design comes from the RCA transistor manual.

I wound my own driver transformers and used the circuit for everything from 10 watt guitar amps with car radio transistors to a monster amp that put out over 1 KW from 24 X 2N3773's.

I found one of my old amps with 6 X "2n3055's" when I was moving out of Florida. I built it in high school (1969) which explains my crude construction skills. It made 200 to 300 watts into a 4 ohm load on a B+ of about 100 volts. The measurements were made with a Simpson 260 and a scope, hence the large uncertainty factor.
Hi I have the similar repared mono block amps from Westrex
Westrex 2404-C Germanium Amp Restored
I spot thwat the same heatsinks was used in mine...
That topology sounds pretty good (to me).
cheers

Complementary pairs ГT402, ГT404 fit well in the buffer to the output stage. But they need to be equipped with radiators. Circlotrons can use ГT321, ГT403, П605А, 1Т906.

Suitable for an amplifier in a subwoofer. They are very strong, almost indestructible.

btw. I mentioned this one several times

made by good friend of mine

Germanium Amp

he bought dozens of these Biguns, but also killed them plenty in amp developing, but ending finally with good and trusty amplifier

I would like to know where to buy them these days, but my deficiency in Russian language is just over my head now

1T813, preferable

they're more sturdy, if I'm not wrong
