maybe an amp befitting of my screen name? Just finished these big boys, each case is about 160lbs empty. Thinking a 16 fet Aleph biased to 6.5A will work just fine. Thats a 1500VA 38V, 2.2mH (10ga), the caps are 100,000uF, each channel will get 8. The 250W resistors there for size reference. Each case consists of 4 heatsinks, they've been tested with flat pack resistors to 280W, it gets comfortably warm. In this case each sink will have 4 transistors mounted, so each sink will need to do ~140W. Cases are 20" h x 20" w x 24" d.

No prob, these won't be finished for awhile anyway. I used MJ11016/MJ11015 for outputs on the A40. The boards I used allowed for a LM334 as a current source for the front end, so you don't have to worry about finding that unobtanium jfet. I purchased the caps from mouser.

Gyuri, I remember when you initially posted your project way back, very nice! Some progress done on one of the blocks, it's looking like casters all around will be needed, pushing 200+ LBS as it is now.
