What gear are you using with your B1 Korg?

Just curious what the plethora of happy people are using with theirs? (Mine isn't built yet, I know I know, I'll get to it when I can)

Sources are Squeezebox Touch and Vincent CD-S4, both via Denafrips Ares II DAC.
Power amp is an ACA and speakers are Castle Howard S1.
I have an M2X also.

My B1 Korg was built as a two-box set using a Naim NAC 62 chassis & main board with a HiCap power supply. In rotation with a Naim NAC 82 preamp with diy Dual HiCap DR power supply. Source is a Naim CDX2 CD player with diy XPS DR power supply. Power amps are various First Watt clones, mainly M2x and Aleph J, and ongoing ACA experimentations. F6 clone and other beastly amps to follow.

I've had it going to a M2 clone but it's really sounding good into a Aleph J.

I'm using mine as a headphone amp on some 38ohm audio technica ath-m50x and it sounds fantastic.

M2X, ACA, Aleph J and soon to be also an FW J2 - all Mosfet or SITS.

Hiraga "Le Monstre" BJT amp.

Fed from a tube output Advance Acoustic, stereo 1 disc CD player source.

Speakers are absolute mint and original Yamaha NS1000 in Rosewood finish.

My only complaint about the Korg B1 is the bass and too much gain. But it’s worth it.

My humble build is still going strong months later.

Currently using it as headphone buffer for highly efficient Sony Z1R headphones with headphone jack, or to a 300b amp driving transformer for Stax headphones.

Also, when 300b outputs are switched to speakers, driving Audio Nirvana 12 inch full range drivers on baffle in a small room.

I'm using mine with a recently built version of Bonsai's KX class A power amp driving a pair of PMC FB1+ speakers. I have used a pair of Rothwell Audio in line attenuators so that I have some movement on the volume pot. Very pleased with the sound.

During the summer months, my B1Korg feeds a MoFo amp which drives a pair of FHXL speakers. In the winter months, I trade the MoFo for either the Aleph-J or the M2.

Source is switched between my turntable and a Marantz pre for the AV system in the family room.

I built 2. The first one is fed by an echo dot or CD player and drives an very old pair of Bose roommate speakers. The second one is fed by a turntable/or digital source and going into an Aleph J; this is in my living room. They both sound GREAT!

Yeah it makes a huge difference. I used to mostly listen to podcasts while building projects. Now I find myself listening to music quite often. I'm frankly shocked by the quality of sound that comes out of the Bose I bought in 1989.
