tnx to AnthonyA , datasheet , here : Tokin 2SK77B datasheet | Zen Mod Blog
No typo as far as I know. The cap to the left of the 4N37 is labeled 1K (1000uF) and the cap at the speaker output is labeled 10K (10,000uF).
I have built this circuit with those values and it works and it sounds great. Not with 2SK77B of course, but with THF-51S.
Great meeting you at BA2019
Did you use the ixfn140n20p in your build?
Thanks
Bob
K, m, dilemma , whatever
use fine , fast , settable B-
5V is enough , negative
even 7905 will work (put some shunt load on output , say 15mA will do the job so 330R regular resistor will do) , though LM431 or LM336Z-5 are better for better sleep , if nothing else

Hey Bob and Ben,
Seeing both of you building this amp using the Tokin Vfet is quite
an inspiration. I hope to give it a try later.
Cheers,
Dennis
Hi Dennis,
You definitely should build it.
It was a great BAF, meeting you, and Zen Mod, too.
Ben
Bob if you pull that off, I'd like to have a listen! Maybe an A/B session after the final F8 design is released.
I'll work on it
Hi Bob,
was great seing all of you at BAF too ...
... please listen to Zen Mod and don't dissmiss some toobz against the SissySIT too easily ... after I built the SissySIT, my newest build is an EL84 PP tube amp.
And what do I have to say, I like it as much as my SissySIT with my speakers
It's a John Broskie design, and the thread about it is here:
Unexpectedly good EL84 amp
... my build is towards the end ...
I got some good tips regarding my bias circuit from a discussion with Zen Mod at BAF, have to find some time to implement it.
By the way, about half an hour ago I finished the ACP+ ... I bought the last kit that was available at BAF. It's playing right now, and it's sounding veerryy promising with my EL84 (... though now way too much gain in the system)
Sorry for the OT, regards, Claas
