Good day ,ZEN MOD :

Can all NPN/PNP triodes be replaced BC550/560?
THX U very much!

of course!

Good ol modern production Jfets! Great work ZM.

:)

generally ....regarding availability ... feel free to make your own pcbs , if you are enjoying in that ; if there is any problem , I will help , naturally (I mean with everything else except pcb troubleshooting - I'm pretty much unable to do that , due to fact that I'm Holmes in that area almost every day in my work , so I'm sorta fed-up  )

I will make offer - similar to SissySIT and Babelfish M25 - meaning - at least two kit levels

#1 should be bare pcb with presoldered SMDs , including 4pcs/channel input 2SK2145BL buggers

#2 should be pcb with presoldered SMDs , including 4pcs/channel input 2SK2145BL buggers, plus all parts for populating pcbs , including IRFP150 outputs

0 series pcb done its duty - changed few details , fixed one mistake , so development finished from that point

today , funny day , tests with Semisouth down , and after that - listening tests ....... in both interesting iterations - SJEP down , and IRFP down

:clown:

edit: I'm positive that I'm going to bring at least 5 sets of #1 for BAF raffle

Babelfih J2 , SJEP120R100 down

Ha , surprise!!!!

(or not ) :clown:

with already presented iteration with both output positions occupied with mighty IRFP150 , we are having nice Pleasure Machine , with nice and cozy low THD ...... but! - when SJEP120R100 is introduced in lower output position, we got Pinpoint Machine

same , 4R load

just to state - I have no intention to play with MOX values in output vertical , to invoke 2nd harmonic above 3rd ; I have what I intended with poor man's iteration and that's it

So it looks like you are deliberately mismatching output transistor types in a P-P output stage. And the results for 1Watt out indicate that the H2 has fallen to the same level as H3 from the previous configuration.
Interesting
Edit: Or is this actually a single-ended output stage with the IRFP150 as the current source?

well , it's pretty much all clear from schematics and graphs :)

also , from few intention notes in post #1 , it's clear what I wanted to achieve

regarding question what it is - name of the game is J2 Babelfishing , and J2's OS is stage loaded in drain with sorta active CCS , in form of Mu Follower ....
